The BMW M6 G-Power

The BMW M6 is the „alpha leader“ amongst the BMW product range. Fast, expensive and good-looking. The only attribute that the BMW M6 can not fulfil is exclusiveness. G-POWER can help you to correct this flaw. The G-POWER products for the BMW M6 sharpen its characteristics and turn it into a true one-of-a-kind, just like our customers are.

Maserati 4200 Coupe

When you have a 400bhp Maserati V8, it’s quite nice to be able to hear it. And I can certainly hear the engine where I am right now, standing at the edge of a road that winds through verdant, soft-contoured Italian hills spangled with the kind of terracotta shoppertunities that have we Brits rushing for a second mortgage. I’ve taken station on the inside of a tight hairpin at which a Maserati will shortly be launched for the camera, and though the squeal of tyres is pleasing, it’s nothing to the thrill of that V8 exhausting itself on the over-run, gusts of spent gas spitting and gurgling through a quartet of tail-pipes. Hairpin speared, the pearlescent white coupé plunges toward the valley below, its V8 drumbeat rousing a dog on a distant farm as the engine’s staccato pulses ricochet off the landscape. It sounds absolutely magnificent. And I don’t mean the dog.

The All-New 2009 Honda Insight Hybrid

The all-new 2009 Honda Insight hybrid will make its world debut in January at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The five-passenger, five-door Insight will go on sale in the spring of 2009. The Insight is expected to have annual global sales of 200,000 units per year - approximately 100,000 in North America - and will utilize a new interactive, driver-focused fuel economy enhancement technology named the Ecological Drive Assist System (Eco Assist™). A leader in the development of cleaner, more fuel-efficient mobility products, Honda introduced to market the first mass produced low-emission gasoline vehicles; America's first commercially produced gas-electric hybrid car and the world's first EPA-certified hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, the FCX. In 2007, Honda was named "greenest automaker" by the Union of Concerned Scientists for the fourth straight time.

The McLaren F1

You’re about to read a watershed road test: not simply because it’s of the fastest road car in history, but, in all likelihood, it’ll remain the fastest road test ever. Until we strapped our equipment onto the McLaren F1 no one knew how fast it was. Now we do, because we’ve driven it beyond 200mph, and timed it to the last hundredth of a second. And here it stops: McLaren will never release another of its amazing £540,000 supercars for road testing to anyone, anywhere in the world.

The Mazda RX-8

Rotary-engined coupés have featured in Mazda’s product line-up on and off for nearly 40 years. The first, the strangely styled Cosmo 110S, is little known in the UK, but something of a cult car in Japan. The original 1978 RX-7 is the best-known rotary Mazda. A rival for the contemporary Porsche 924, the coupé proved a massive hit particularly in the USA, despite premature engine wear and high fuel consumption. Two further generations of RX-7 followed, the last of which sold in tiny numbers and bowed out of British showrooms in 1997.

The Lexus SC430

Proof that Lexus currently has more to offer the American market than it does Europe comes no stronger than an examination of the SC430 coupé-cabriolet. I’ve seen them swish past in both Bromsgrove and Beverly Hills and I think it’s fairly obvious where the SC’s Pullman-carriage styling works best. Likewise, Lexus’ range-topper has always felt out of sorts on UK roads, with a lumpy ride – corrupted further with standard run-flat tyres – and clumsy road holding. Californian boulevards seem to be its natural cruising ground.

Lamborghini Gallardo SE

Take one Gallardo, boost the power to 520bhp and then sharpen the steering, stiffen the suspension and reduce the gearing. Next fit a set of Pirelli P-zero Corsa tyres on new ‘Callisto’ rims. In other words, tune the Gallardo up for maximum attack. Then serve at a suitably roasting temperature, complemented with styling revisions around the air intakes and a cool black roof section. Limit to 250 units worldwide. Et voila, you have the Lamborghini Gallardo SE.

Dodge SRT-10 ACR

A track-focused version of the Dodge SRT-10 – still known as the Viper in the USA. Sadly the fire-breathing Yank is no longer officially sold in the UK, but now American punters get a larger 8.4-litre V10 engine with 600bhp, a beefed-up transmission and a more progressive GKN limited-slip diff. They also get a chance to buy this: the new ACR version. The acronym decrypts as American Cup Racer, adding forged wheels with super-sticky Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tyres, dampers that can be adjusted for ride height, compression and rebound, two-piece brake discs and an aero kit that delivers 450kg of downforce at 150 mph.

Chevrolet Evanda 2.0

Don’t be put off by our first verdict on the Evanda - Chevrolet assures us that the car that appears at Geneva next year and hits our roads from August will be a very different beast. Still, this is our first taste of what will be the biggest Chevrolet saloon on UK roads. It’s already on sale in continental Europe, but the facelifted car will have a new Euro-friendly name, a new face – bearing close resemblance to that of the S3X off-roader concept – and thoroughly revised interior and suspension.

The Bugatti Veyron 8.0 W16

So picture this. A long, long stretch of dual carriageway, two cars simmering beside each other at one end of it; a McLaren F1 plus a weird, insect-like machine with four huge tyres, an absurd number of scoops and winglets along the flanks and across the roof, plus a distinctive white-and-red badge on the nose that reads ‘Bugatti.’ On the tail are written the letters E and B. On top of the engine, which has no cover and is exposed directly to the air for cooling purposes, are the numbers 16 and four; 16 cylinders, four turbochargers. Which, in case you were wondering, equates to 987bhp and 922lb ft.

The Audi R8 4.2

What isn’t? Audi’s first supercar takes the brand into a whole new part of the market – this is the most radical road-goer to wear four rings since records began. Based around various components shared with the (Audi-engineered) Lamborghini Gallardo, the R8 uses a mid-mounted, dry-sumped version of the RS4’s 4.2-litre FSI V8 engine to deliver stunning performance: 0-62mph takes a claimed 4.6 seconds and the top speed (unencumbered by one of those pesky 155mph limiters) is reckoned to be a whopping 187mph. Wearing a £76,725 price tag in manual form it’s priced hard against the heartland of the Porsche 911 range – so should you cancel that Carrera 4S?

Infiniti G37S Coupe

This is the closet thing to an Infiniti performance car that we’ll have from the UK launch of the brand. It’s a low and reasonably lean front engine, rear-drive 2+2 coupe, powered by the impressively versatile 3.7-litre V6 that is also used in the G37 saloon and EX37 crossover. Infiniti claims the G37S coupe is a natural competitor for the BMW 330i coupe, which has a similar price. Infiniti’s gameplan counters the current lack of image for its new-to-Europe brand by offering more power – and an impressive array of standard kit. Japanese-built Infinitis already sell well elsewhere in the world, including both the US and Russia.

The 2009 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster

Stuttgart superstars at Mercedes put the gas pedal to the floor with the limited-edition SLR McLaren Roadster 722 S. Sporting a sleek "Crystal Antimony Grey" paint scheme, the 722's long nose boldly announces the car's speedy intentions. That nose also features a menacing "air splitter" that improves aerodynamic down-force.

The Audi S5

The boss version of the new Audi A5 coupe, this side of next year’s RS5 at least, which is packing the same 4.2 litre direct injection petrol V8 that we’ve already seen in the S4. Audi claims the S5 will be far sportier, though, with the front axle moved forwards by a clever new suspension system, all-new steering and a rearward torque bias for the quattro four-wheel drive system. On paper at least, it’s the sportiest non-RS badged Audi yet.

Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC EX GT

Yet more proof of Honda’s insistence on doing things its own way: this is the new Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC automatic. The Honda Accord 2.2 i-DTEC auto is the first time that Honda has offered any diesel-engined car with an automatic transmission. The engine in question is the firm’s commendable 148bhp 2.2-litre turbo diesel lump, and the gearbox (again an in-house Honda creation) is a new five-speed self-shifter. This power train should also be fitted to the CR-V – and eventually the Civic and FR-V – but it’s likely to find its warmest reception in the Honda Accord, since Accords are so popular as high-mileage company cars.

The Toyota Avensis

The Toyota Avensis provides the advanced technology and superior levels of comfort that drive the quality experience you can expect from this model. You’ll notice a whole range of fresh design features on the exterior and interior. Modern colours and trims, as well as four grades including the exclusive Premium Active Grade, add to the Avensis’ dynamic and sophisticated feel.
Once you take to the wheel and experience the new powerful engines, the all new 125 D-4D diesel engine, the mid range 150 as well as the top of the range D-4D 180 Clean Power, the Avensis keeps you in no doubt that this car was designed for people, and by people, who love to drive.

The First Look: 2010 Lincoln MKZ

The 2010 Lincoln MKZ's mission is twofold: distinguish itself from its Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan relatives, and get the attention of entry-level luxury sedan buy. On both counts, the new split-wing grille is serious progress. The 2010 MKZ now resembles the Ford Taurus-based MKS, a car that, at least so far, is outselling the less-expensive MKZ. In back, the MKZ takes a cue from the MKX crossover, with long LED taillights that frame a large Lincoln insignia and the camera from the reverse camera system. When the MKZ is shifted into reverse, an image is displayed in the rear view mirror or, if you've got one, the 8-inch navigation touchscreen.

The 2010 Mercury Milan Hybrid

If you're considering a 2010 Ford Fusion but want something more exclusive, you might like the 2010 Mercury Milan. Like the new Fusion, the Milan benefits from fresh styling and upgraded power train options, starting with a 2.5L four-cylinder engine producing 175 hp and mated to a six-speed automatic or manual transmission. Ford claims the four-cylinder Milan will get at least 3 mpg better mileage than a Honda Accord and 2 mpg more than a Toyota Camry -- significant claims considering the Fusion and Milan are currently near the bottom of the pack in terms of fuel economy. Highway fuel economy for a four-cylinder Milan, then, will hit 33 mpg, tying GM's Chevy Malibu, Saturn Aura, and the Pontiac G6.

The 2008 Lexus ES 350

Lexus's entry-level, front-wheel-drive, midsize sedan continues to be based on the Toyota Camry, but it is more stylish and luxurious, and delivers solid overall performance with ride and handling characteristics that are more graceful. The car is powered by a smooth and strong V6 engine, which is mated to a sophisticated, six-speed automatic transmission. The ES 350 comes with a high level of safety and control features as well as standard amenities.

The 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP

Strafing along a straight-as-a-string highway at about a buck-fifty, confusion struck. Were we in America aboard Pontiac's forty-or-so-grand, Pontiac G8 GXP circa 2008, or flogging a previous-generation BMW M5-a car that cost $70,000 eight years ago-on a German autobahn? Not sure. There's plenty of high-speed stability here, yet nice ride quality. A rumbling 400-plus-horsepower V-8 engine and six-speed manual transmission. Just-right-size four-door packaging, supportive leather sport seats, big brakes. Then the radio news guy said "Obama," and we realized that this was indeed the here and now. The badge on the steering wheel confirmed it. Mention BMW's seminal sport sedan and a Pontiac in the same breath? In this instance, without hesitation.

The 2008 Lexus IS F

I don't get all the 'it's so stiff' comments about the suspension," says editor at large St. Antoine, who disagrees with Jurnecka's assessment -- "Driving on L.A. freeways feels like a roller coaster ride, with each bump, dip, and irregularity having ill effects on stomach and head." "To me," notes St. Antoine, "the damping is pretty tight, but the springs aren't overly harsh at all. Compared with our previous long-term Mini, the IS F rides like a cloud. Never does the suspension crash into its stops. St. Antoine, who took the IS F to the Pebble Beach Concours, observes the Lexus's star power. "Despite the profusion of Ferraris, Lambos, Veyrons, the Lexus got an inordinate amount of attention.

The BMW 318D SE Auto

This is the BMW 318d SE auto. The launch of the face lifted BMW 3-series marks the first time that the 141bhp 2.0-litre diesel engine is available with an automatic gearbox. This SE edition does not have iDrive, so the facelift changes are restricted to the outside of the car, with minor modifications to the rear lights, bonnet and bootlid.

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series

The new top model in the AMG lineup, the twin-turbocharged, V-12 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series will slip into American traffic this January as inconspicuously as a librarian redecorating her desk with a chain saw. From the front or back, the Black Series resembles a mad, robotic bulldog, its leviathan fender flares stretching overall width to nearly six and a half feet. Every body panel except the rear fenders and the doors is made of lightweight carbon fiber -- including the new fixed roof, which hides an integrated roll bar. The rear apron incorporates an underbody diffuser for improved downforce; also assisting is a rear wing that automatically rises above 75 mph.

The All New Honda Accord

Witness the debut of the astonishing new Honda Accord: the outcome of all-out pursuit of sedan excellence, successfully uniting all contradictory elements. A bold exterior presence with a luxury air, yet a sporty youthful feeling. An expansive upper-class cabin with comfortable travel space for five adults and panoramic visibility. A longer body with sportier performance than ever before, and powerful i-VTEC engine designed for high fuel economy. A renowned global car with all advanced Honda technologies for driving command, plus eco-performance for increased recyclability. Experience its overall quality, riding comfort, and details for yourself, and you'll know why the new Accord represents a distinct status upgrade for the sedan. A true prestige vehicle, it is designed for a sophisticated and dynamic drive.

The Lexus GS 300

A refined and elegant car since its early-1990s inception, the mid size Lexus GS 300 sedan always came up short in the personality department. Partly, this was a problem of perception. Lexus initially promoted the rear-wheel-drive GS as a legitimate competitor to the elite European sport sedans, but the car's soft suspension, over-assisted steering and sluggish power train said otherwise. The fact that it cost just as much as its German rivals certainly didn't do it any favors either. As a luxury sedan, the Lexus GS 300 was more convincing, particularly the third-generation model, which could be loaded with all the latest technology and upscale amenities. Cabin materials were typically of high quality, and everything was put together with exacting precision. Add in an outstanding reliability record and it's no surprise all three generations of the GS 300 proved popular with consumers, despite the fact that the automotive press never fully warmed to it.

The Cadillac DTS Sedan

The DTS is a large, front-wheel-drive luxury sedan. The 275-hp, 4.6-liter V8 is smooth and powerful, and works well with the four-speed automatic. A six-passenger version, featuring a front bench seat, is available. Interior space is generous, with a roomy back seat and an enormous trunk. Handling is not agile. Tire grip and braking are unimpressive. The ride is comfortable but can become buoyant at speed. The interior is quiet. Fit and finish has improved over the old DeVille sedan, but some flaws seem out of place at this price.

The Buick Lucerne

The 2009 Buick Lucerne CX and CXL are now powered by a 227-horsepower 3.9-liter V6 engine that is FlexFuel capable. Lucerne CX standard equipment now includes cornering lights, six-way power passenger seat, heated power outside mirrors, an extended-range key fob and 17-inch premium painted wheels. Lucerne CXL now includes eight-way heated driver and front-passenger seats; power lumbar adjustments; memory settings; heated leather steering wheel; outside mirrors with integrated turn signal indicator and 17-inch premium painted wheels.

The New Acura RL 2009

The 2009 Acura RL is redesigned with more aggressive performance-oriented styling and is powered by an all-new 300-horsepower 3.7-liter V6, the most powerful engine ever offered in an Acura sedan. The 2009 Acura RL also features a new version of the Sequential SportShift 5-speed automatic transmission with “smart” steering wheel mounted paddle shifters and a new straight-gate console gear selector. The available Collision Mitigation Braking System uses a millimeter-wave radar unit mounted in the grille to detect vehicles ahead and monitor potential rear-end collisions, to alert the driver when the likelihood of a collision increases, and to help reduce the impact on front occupants by pre-tensioning the front seatbelts and applying the brakes should a collision prove to be imminent.

The New Infiniti G Sedan

Hailed as the "all-conquering VQ V-6," the Infiniti G37's VQ-series V6 has been named one of Ward's 10 Best Engines every year they've awarded it. 2008 marks an unprecedented 14th year. Infiniti owners are the most satisfied with their vehicles over buyers of any other luxury brand, according to the 2007 vehicle satisfaction data collected by AutoPacific, whose survey objectively measures many aspects of vehicle ownership, including vehicle operation, comfort, safety and overall purchase/dealership experience. Car and Driver magazine has named the Infiniti G37 to its 10Best list for 2009. Out of a field of 56 vehicles, the G Coupe and G Sedan rose to the top, marking the fourth time Infiniti has won this award, in addition to 2003, 2004 and 2007.

The Acura TL 2009

The dramatically revamped 2009 Acura TL shows the kind of comprehensive redesign Acura's parent company, Honda, is known for. Where some automakers might say "good enough," Honda's sheer volume of engineering changes shows it pored over every millimeter of the TL to improve it wherever possible.
The result is a bigger, roomier sedan with more of everything: power, features, safety and technology. Acura's so-called "super handling all-wheel-drive" is available — a first for the TL — but only on an upgraded version with a potent 305-horsepower, 3.7-liter V6 engine. The base TL offers a smaller 3.5-liter V6 with 280 hp, a 22-hp jump from the current model.

The Chevrolet Malibu

The Chevy Malibu has received over 30 industry awards, including 2008 J.D. Power and Associates “Highest Ranked Mid size Car in Initial Quality”SM1 and 2008 North American Car of the Year. And Malibu offers better highway fuel economy than any other midsize sedan,2 an EPA
estimated 33 MPG (gasoline), 34 MPG (Hybrid).3 It’s no wonder Malibu is fast becoming the new car of choice.

The Cadillac CTS-V

The CTS-V is a higher-performance variant of the recently redesigned CTS sedan and includes a version of the supercharged V8 engine that powers the new Corvette ZR-1. It’s less powerful in this application, but still unleashes an estimated 550 horsepower and about as much torque. As such, it’s more potent than at least one of its major rivals, the BMW M5, whose larger V10 engine makes 500 hp. In its previous generation, the CTS-V put out 400 hp.

The Honda Civic Hybrid

The compact Honda Civic Hybrid combines a four-cylinder gasoline engine and an electric motor/generator. The hybrid system drives the front wheels via a continuously variable transmission (CVT) that uses belts and pulleys instead of gears. The result is fuel economy and performance like a manual transmission, with automatic-transmission convenience. Between the hybrid engine system and the CVT, the Civic Hybrid gets an estimated 44 mpg overall. It comes fully equipped, save for an optional voice-activated navigation system.

The 2009 Jaguar XF

Hold your breath. Ian Callum is slowly motoring a preproduction 2009 Jaguar XF around a temporary driveway built at Sky way House, a surprisingly post-modern home set deep into verdant property somewhere in the outskirts of this city. "We wanted you to see it in motion," a P.R. exec intones. The XF does another lap of the temp road, the Jaguar design chief scarcely blipping the speedometer.

The 2010 Mazda3 S GT

Typically, when a car goes under the knife for updates, it ends up growing in size, gaining a few hundred pounds, and in some cases, losing a bit of performance along the way. We worried about the new Mazda3 for precisely these reasons. Not too long ago, in a four-way comparison, we crowned the 3 as the best in class, ahead of the Toyota Corolla, Subaru Impreza, and, the assumed benchmark, Honda Civic. Suffice it to say, we really like the outgoing Mazda3.

A Clear Statement. The New BMW 7 Series.

Welcome to the dawn of a new era. A clear statement for dynamics, innovation and luxury. Take a seat and experience the elegance, sportiness, and natural presence of the new BMW 7 Series Sedan.

The 2010 Fisker Karma

Look at recent economic history, and karma begins to make sense. Here's the cycle: increased oil demand; record crude prices; record gas prices; consumer panic; a slew of new vehicles poised to solve our oil dependency dilemma. It could be argued that this series of actions were led by karma. Translated from Sanskrit, the word "Karma" means "work, action, the law of cause and effect."

The 2010 Mercedes-Benz S400 Blue Hybrid

It's probably best to call the new Mercedes-Benz S400 BlueHybrid a mild, rather than full, hybrid, because it can't propel itself on electrical power alone. In other words, the BlueHybrid is not powered by the two-mode system co-developed with GM for big SUVs, which will be an option for the M-Class next year. This is a smaller, cheaper system designed to be scaleable across all Mercedes car lines. Despite its comparative simplicity, the S400 BlueHybrid's gasoline and CO2 savings are significant: some 21% in the European test cycle, compared with the regular V-6 S350. It's also quieter at rest and more muscular in real-world acceleration. There's very little penalty over the standard V-6 in terms of weight -- just 170 lb -- and none at all in passenger or luggage accommodation or payload.

The 2008 Toyota Crown-Royal Saloon

The Crown has evolved into a line of full-size luxury sedans by Toyota. The range was primarily available in Japan and some other Asian countries, originally designed to serve as a taxi. It was in later years sold in the United States during the late 1950s and up until 1971. The Crown is Toyota's oldest sedan still in production. It is outranked only by the Century and the Majesta in social status. The Crown is used by many Japanese companies as the company limosiune. Exports to Europe began in 1964 with the first cars going to Finland. Other European countries which saw imports of the Crown included the Netherlands and Belgium. The United Kingdom was another market until the early 1980s. It was also exported to Canada for a few years—1965–68. In many markets the Crown had become very expensive and was replaced by the Cressida when that model became available for export in the early 1980s.

Condensed 1ntensity. The BMW 1 Series Coupé.

The launch of the new BMW 1 Series Coupé heralds the return of the high-performance compact coupé and offers distilled driving pleasure coupled with highly distinctive styling. Just like the legendary BMW '02 models 30 years ago, it features an eye-catching design, rear-wheel drive, BMW Efficient Dynamics and superb engines such as the Twin Turbo unit found in the BMW 135i Coupé - a combination that makes the BMW 1 Series Coupé unique in its class. Are you ready for 1ntensity?

Designed With Passion. The BMW 5 Series Sedan.

Sense the power. Indulge in the aesthetics. Experience the intelligence. The BMW 5 Series Sedan is the remarkable synthesis of the very best in cutting-edge automotive technology. Experience the class-leading professional sedan on the road.
